About products and suppliers

Toy planes are a great addition to any toy box or hobby collection. From remote control flying plane toys to foam gliders and plastic toy planes, the fun and options are endless.

RC toy planes

Some of the most popular and versatile toy planes are remote controls. Foam RC planes and other lightweight or inexpensive designs are great for young kids and those just starting out. It can be difficult to master flying a toy plane, which is why some new remote-controlled wireless airline toys need adult supervision. Before investing in an expensive oversized remote control plane, start with something smaller that is easier to navigate and more affordable to repair.

Beginner RC airlines are small aircraft controlled by a ground operator using a small wireless remote. The handheld transmitter communicates with an electronic receiver on the toy plane, controlling its movements. As buttons are pushed on the transmitter, they send signals to the aircraft to move certain mechanisms to change directions, speed, and the plane’s position. While these controls can be difficult to master, with some practice, even young children and inexperienced users can learn to drive a beginner RC airplane. It’s always best to operate remote-controlled airplanes in large, open spaces away from residents, vehicles, or trees. This allows for safe use and prevents damage to the toy plane and its surroundings.

Model toy planes and helicopters

Not all toy planes take flight. Hobbyists and adults who love aviation may also enjoy building and constructing toy planes from scratch. These model kits come with hundreds of small pieces, stickers, glue, paint, and directions. Aviation enthusiasts can choose their favorite types of planes to construct and then place them on display in their homes or offices. For example, a fighter jet toy kit is popular among military enthusiasts and veterans. Other hobbyists may enjoy building helicopter models or traditional commercial aircraft. Once constructed, these toy planes can be hung from the ceiling, placed on a shelf, or displayed in a case. Not only do they represent hours of hard work and attention to detail, but toy plane models also act as great conversation starters.

Foam gliders

Foam gliders are some of the most inexpensive, lightweight, and basic toy planes available. These toy planes are designed after real life fighter jets and aircraft. With 4 easy-to-assemble pieces and a lightweight design, these toy planes are simple to put together and even more fun and easy to fly. Powered by nothing more than wind and momentum, children and adults alike will have hours of fun trying to see who’s plane travels the farthest, the fastest, and the highest. Some foam gliders are suitable for children aged 3 and up.
