About products and suppliers

Tarps are sheets of strong and typically waterproof material that serve a variety of purposes. They have grommets reinforced around the sides for ropes to be attached to and this allows the waterproof tarps to be suspended or fixed down. Below are some uses for tarps.

Construction

One of the common use of heavy-duty tarps is found at construction sites, where it is important to protect structures against the weather. Not only can these tarps be used for shade against the harsh heat, but they also shield against the wind and rain. This prevents a mess during the painting of a building or the clearing of debris. For transportation and daily usage, tarps are used for cars, such as open trucks. With the use of tarps, it can keep the materials on it dry.

Camping

At the camping ground, tents can also be made with tarpaulin as temporary accommodation or booths. For pre-existing tentages, tarps can be used to supplement protection against the elements, as common tents may not be strong enough. Waterproof canvas tarps can be used to collect water as well, which can then be used for washing.

Gardening

For the construction of a greenhouse, the tarp should keep the moisture in and not allow it out at the same time. As such, polyethylene is a good material for it, seeing as mesh tarps will allow moisture out. The low price point of the tarps makes them more affordable than glass panes. Tarps in gardens can also keep the weeds at bay.

Home

In the home, tarps are commonly used to cover pools when not in use. This will keep leaves, snow, and ice out of the way, and can be useful in blocking out sunlight. By doing so, it prevents the build up of algae.
