A permanent magnet alternator is an electrical generator that utilizes permanent magnets to generate electricity. Unlike traditional alternators, which use electromagnets to create a magnetic field, permanent magnet alternators incorporate permanent magnets made of materials such as neodymium, ferrite, or samarium-cobalt to produce a magnetic field.
