About products and suppliers

Hockey sticks are an essential piece of equipment for any hockey player. They are used to handle, pass, and shoot the puck. These sticks come in various types and sizes to suit different needs and skill levels. Categories include mini hockey sticks for kids, custom sticks for advanced players, and field hockey sticks for use on grass or turf surfaces. Pro stock hockey sticks, however, remain the best choice for the highest quality and performance. These sticks boast premium materials and craftsmanship.

Common Types of Hockey Sticks

Wood hockey sticks are the traditional type of hockey stick, made of wood and featuring a blade and a handle. These are generally the most affordable option, making them a popular option for street hockey sticks. Still, they may be less durable or offer less power than other types.

Composite hockey sticks are made of a combination of materials, such as fiberglass or carbon fiber. They are known for their durability and lightweight design. They are generally more expensive than wood sticks but may offer better performance and a longer lifespan.

As the name suggests, one-piece composite sticks are made of a single composite material. This option is known for its consistent flex and reduced vibration but may not be as customizable as different types.

Two-piece composite sticks are made of two pieces of composite material that are joined together, typically with a blade and a handle that are separate from each other. This option offers more flexibility and customization than one-piece sticks. Still, it may offer a lower level of consistency and vibration reduction.

Mini hockey sticks are smaller versions of regular hockey sticks, designed for younger or beginner players. They may feature any of the designs and materials listed above.

Maintaining Hockey Sticks with Hockey Tape

Wrapping a hockey stick with hockey tape protects the blade and improves its performance. To do so, start by cleaning the blade and cutting a strip of tape slightly longer than the blade. Place the tape along the top edge of the blade, leaving about an inch hanging off each end. Then, wrap the tape around the blade, smoothing it down and eliminating any bubbles or creases. Trim off excess tape and smooth the ends for a seamless finish. Wrapping a hockey stick with tape can reduce wear and tear, improve grip and control, and enhance overall performance.
