About products and suppliers

A glass cutting machine, also known as a "CNC glass cutting machine," is a computerized device that cuts various shapes from sheets of glass. These machines use different cutting techniques, such as scoring and breaking, water jet glass cutting, or laser cutting, and they are commonly used in the construction, automotive, and manufacturing industries.

Read below to learn about the types of glass cutting machine for sale at Alibaba.com.

Waterjet Glass Cutting

A water jet cutting machine uses high-pressure water, typically 60,000 to 90,000 pounds per square inch (PSI), to cut through glass, metal, stone, and plastic. This machine draws water through a chamber that mixes an abrasive material like garnet to create an exact and powerful cutting stream.

Laser Glass Cutting Machine

Unlike sand and water, a laser glass cutting machine focuses a laser beam through a small nozzle. Mounted on a cutting head, the nozzle moves in a predetermined cutting path, computed by a glass CNC machine, and when the beam hits the glass, it melts or vaporizes the material, creating a precise, clean cut. These machines can also cut very thin glass and multiple sheets at once. What's more, laser cutting does not generate heat, which makes it suitable for cutting heat-sensitive materials.

Glass Strip Cutter

A strip cutter is a type of manual glass cutting tool. This piece of equipment usually mounts on a glass cutting table. Traditionally attached to a handle, the cutting blade or wheel travels along an adjustable railing system that the user pulls by hand. The railing marks the cutting path and provides repetitive, uniform strips with minimal effort and time. Because of its simple and inexpensive design, this tool is widely popular in various industries for cutting windows, doors, and other applications. However, this tool only cuts straight lines, making it difficult for more detailed cuts. For longer strips, many manufacturers provide add-ons to the adjustable rods.
