Cleaning practices for cooking pots

Just like any other household item, cooking pots deteriorate over time. Having good cleaning practices slow down the decline. For regular cooking pots, the great cleaning solution is as simple as pouring hot water immediately after use. This step efficiently deglazes the pot and eliminates any food particles that may stick to the surface of the cookware. Then, use a regular sponge or scourer and dish soap to properly clean the cooking pot.

For non-stick cooking pots, the cleaning method is the same, except a nylon scrubber must replace the traditional sponge. This will ensure that the non-stick coating of the pot will not be damaged.
